Dancin in the Street

I am so excited to have another finish. Blue Bonnet © Leisure Arts - artwork Paula Vaughan. It took me 12 weeks and 39hrs.
When I first started this I forgot just how awful coloured charts are. I originally did a scan but had to keep referring back to the original chart. I then made a decision and did the unthinkable and tore out the page from the book The Best of Paula Vaughan. I figure that I would never in a million years restitch this piece so what the heck.
I did a floss toss and DH did not like my choice of fabric and he made the remark "I don't know why you asked my opinion when you had already made up your mind". Once I started stitching it and showed him he had to agree that it did look great on that fabric. I think.....it is Sugar Crush from Stitches and Spice.
My next piece is a Bookmark - short & sweet - Summer Bookmark from The Edwardian Ladies Diary so it shouldn't take long.
I did the random roll and have added into the coming up pieces Roosters - Permin of Copehagen - this is a Kit and I will substitute the fabric.
I am really pleased with my finishes this year and I am down to 3 pages on Ocean's Bounty - I can taste the finish and I am also thinking that I just might squeeze in Greendragonfly QS before the end of the year.

It's just beautiful!!

I, too, found out why I don't like colored charts. Both of the stockings are colored charts and I had to refer back to the book SO many times. And, for the b/s on it I am using the book alone. It's 6 pages worth...But I'm about 1/3 done.

Hugs and CONGRATS!!

Ugh, coloured charts. I HATE coloured charts. I'd rather have ordinary charts and colour them in myself as I go (and I do, I'm doing it a lot with St Nicholas, but I only do it as I need it)

I love the fabric choice, by the way :)

Thanks for the comment - I updated the post with all the details, somehow I forgot to add them when i posted it!
